On the occasion of the European protest day to equality for people with disabilities load Austrian disabled organizations on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. To a public action before the Parliament in Vienna. Press start at 10:00 a.m. with representatives of all organizations.
Under the title “Construction site inclusion: every article counts” make people with disabilities and their organizations clear: the UN Convention on the Rights of the Rights (UN-BRK) was ratified in Austria 17 years ago-but their implementation remains incomplete. Many rights exist on paper, but not in everyday life.
Goal of the campaign:
The participants demand the full implementation of the UN-BRK-not at some point, but now. With a all -day reading of selected articles of the conventionPersonal messages and a strong common appearance are set an unmistakable sign.

One is created in front of the parliament Symbolic construction site for inclusion – with a stage, construction helmets and barriers. The staging makes it clear: The path to equal participation is far from being built in Austria.
Process:
From 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. reading arathon. From 10:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. joint press opening with representatives of all organizations involved and media-effective statements. Subsequently, read the UN-BRK articles by organizations involved. Another organization takes over the stage every hour.
