With the expansion building, which is solemnly opened today, Austria’s most powerful private clinic is expanding its offer. 65 million euros will be invested in extension and further modernizations by the end of 2026.
The extension, which was built in just two years, houses three new, state -of -the -art operating rooms under his roof, among other things, four new delivery rooms that are equipped for all needs of a safe and pleasant birth experience, and central sterilization. The clinic also receives an additional 19 rooms. The inclusion of patient operation in the new component is planned for February 10th.
The planning followed four guidelines, as Christiane Windsperger, managing director of the clinic, underlines:

The extension is only the first step in a comprehensive investment project. By the end of 2026, further modernization steps are planned in the subsequent parent company. The two buildings are also built on several levels and the extension is fully integrated into the overall complex. The operating rooms in the parent company are also renewed, so that the Döbling private clinic will finally have seven fully developed and interconnected operating rooms.
Healing atmosphere and focus on sustainability
The patient areas in the addition was dedicated to special care during the conception. A generous interior design and the selection of warm colors and floral patterns created a unique atmosphere of comfort, security and well -being. “We rely on a healing environment, because we are convinced that in addition to excellent medicine, we also contribute a pleasant ambience to recovery”
emphasizes Windsperger. The color green plays an important role in many patient areas. A warm red -brown dominates in the delivery rooms, which according to studies has a calming effect on newborns. Particular attention was also paid to the design of the new patient rooms, all of which have a balcony.
Sustainability and climate protection played an important role in the construction of the addition. The planning of the part of the building was already certified according to Klimaactive Gold Standard. Geothermal energy and a photovoltaic system on the roof provide the necessary energy for heating and electricity. The additional parking garage of the building was equipped with e-charging stations. A tendril for the green facade has already been installed, with the start of the vegetation period, the greening is tackled.
The most modern medical infrastructure
Three operating theaters and a central sterilization unit were rebuilt. The operating rooms all have daylight and state-of-the-art equipment in medical technology. Laminar Air Flow Technology ensures the highest level, so that larger interventions with the highest quality standards can also be carried out. All operating rooms were static and technically equipped for the operation of an operating room.
A modern obstetrics department with four delivery rooms, a children’s room and various functional rooms is being built on the 3rd floor of the addition. There is also a direct connection to the surgical level, so that the highest security is guaranteed for mothers and children, even if there should be complications at birth.
When conception of the new treatment facilities, attention was also paid to optimal conditions for doctors and nursing staff. “With this new surgical area, we offer the highest medical quality and security even with complex interventions”

Most powerful private clinic in Austria
With these measures, the Döbling private clinic strengthens its position as the most powerful private clinic in Austria. In 2024, around 17,700 patients were cared for in the clinic. There are also around 1,000 births a year, which corresponds to around six percent of all births in Vienna. “With the extension to the Döbling private clinic, we take an important further step to be a health partner in the future who accompanies people trustingly for a lifetime.
