Preventing women’s poverty – Why care and paid work are crucial
Vienna (OTS) –

Worrying figures are confirmed in the Caritas social advice centers: two thirds of the people who seek help there are women, and almost 20 percent are single parents. Poverty is not fate, poverty is the result of unjust structures. The value society places on care and paid work determines whether women’s poverty can be prevented.

AK and Caritas explain what needs to be done to ensure women and children have the good future they deserve.
