Dear media representatives!
After the state elections, the strongest and second strongest parties – the FPÖ Styria and the Styrian People’s Party – entered into talks to form a state government. Following an exploratory phase, negotiations began on December 3rd and have now been successfully concluded.
In the constituent session of the Styrian state parliament on December 18, 2024, the state parliament factions of the FPÖ Styria and the Styrian People’s Party will submit a joint proposal for the election of a state government. The personalities standing for election to the state government as well as excerpts from the agreed program for the coming legislative period will be presented at a press conference.

Accreditation for the press conference is required; corresponding requests must be sent to pressedienst@fpoe-stmk.at by December 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
Organizational note:
There is of course the opportunity to make video and audio recordings of the statements in the press conference and to ask questions. However, we would like to point out that no more in-depth questions about the content of the individual departmental areas will be answered before the constituent session of the Styrian State Parliament and the election of the state government. Please also note that it will not be possible to obtain individual original tones afterwards.
