The Film and Music Industry Association (Fama) invited on Saturday, March 29th. As part of the diagonal for the press conference and presentation of the Bring’s Bring’s Campaign www.bringsanslicht.at

In 2022, the specialist association developed a guideline for abuse and attacks for all member companies in the field of film and music. Now a video and website were created in expansion and on the basis of the guide to decide to counteract bullying, discrimination and sexual harassment in the film and music industry and to sensitize companies as well as film and music professionalsso Alexander Dumreicher-Vivanu, chairman of the Film and Music Industry Association.
Bring’s Ans Light should provide additional relevant information and show the contact person: indicate the inside of the fight against attacks.
The specialist association of the film and music industry advocates that the respect of human dignity, privacy and personal limits of each individual person involved in a production process (whether in the office, in the studio, the set or in other professional area) has a priority. Bullying, discrimination and (sexualized) abuse of power are not only unacceptable, but also punishable. Labor law and the equal treatment law provide for massive legal consequences in discrimination and sexual harassment.
Employers: Inside, your duty of care must meet and ensure a safe and non -violent work environment.
Claudia well -known (producer, chairwoman in the “professional group committee for gender justice and inclusion”): The best protection is prevention! It is therefore about changing work culture in the film industry by replacing employers: interior and employees: Inside the culture of looking away with a culture of looking! This is what this website and this video stands for!
There are many good reasons why those affected rarely tell of attacks. Out of shame, out of fear of disadvantages, out of uncertainty about what had fallen, or because they prefer to regulate it themselves and still need time. The professional dependence is often great, and the culture of silence protects the perpetrators: inside.
Arash T. Riahi (producer, director, president of the academy of Austrian film): Anyone who says nothing out of fear lets injustice grow – Until it appears insurmountable. The same applies to abuse of power, bullying or sexual abuse in the film industry and beyond. Anyone who is silent gives perpetrators: makes inside. But who speaks breaks the circulation!
Molarizing behavior can be consciously or unconsciously set. It is important how the person concerned perceived behavior. Count the respective limits of the counterpart.
Verena Altenberger (actress, President of the Academy of Austrian Film): Place You are a headache, but there is still no word for it. You want to trust someone, but how explain? Besides, the pain is not visible – will you even believe them? Or do you just imagine all of this? Do you overdo? I am so glad that thanks to #metoo we finally find a language to address abuse of power and sexual abuse of power. We are now understood much more easily and understand faster. Only – with such a young language, speaking still wants to be practiced. So: let’s talk about it! Let’s address it. Let’s bring it to light.
