Reflection is not exactly the core competence of ethnic extremists. It therefore sounds self -deprecating in a cheerful way when one of them calls himself a “creepy figure from Austria”, Martin Sellner – a charming right -wing extremist who has always speaks to every camera as the friendly face of the identities. This time in that of the filmmaker Volker Heise. He devotes himself to an event that has a repulsive and attractive effect: Sellner’s “Master Plan on Remigration”, which this decision -makers from politics and business presented in Potsdam in November 2023.

In January 2024, the Correctiv research network unveiled the Potsdamer meeting, under the title: “Secret plan against Germany”. How this report came about, which followed what it was not, who it is of use, whoever harms Volker Heise in the ARD media library for 90 minutes. The outcry was initially tremendous, there were mass demonstrations against the plan. Nevertheless, the smart Sellner also sees the discovery as a success. At the end of the program, he speaks a compliment to the Correctiv team and also thanks them to “made the concept of remigration” known millions of times “and” accelerated the process “.

Volker Heise does not leave it with a purely processing of the events. However, the statements of the lawyer Ulrich Vosgerau, who not only took part in the meeting, are still unmasked. Listening to the CDU member of the value union how he at the same time grants and denies how he describes Mörig as a “long-time friend” and Sellner as a “pleasant man”, how he undermines the values ​​of his own party right-wing and smiles as if he is defending it-this sometimes takes your breath away. Even if it hurts when you watch, Heise lets the right speak uncommented. Just as he all lets all speak. The Seawatch activist and the memorial head, the BHJ dropout or the AfD-Doubknigen get no more attention or recognition from the director. They are simply talking heads of a documentary that does not exhilarate, drama sound and thus shows what facts can see: Uncharged education, in which the criticism of the procedure of correction is not a taboo.

It is to be hoped that the professional ethical poly thriller will not come too late. After the short eruption of the political climate as a result of the scandal, the AfD sagged in surveys and “remigration” became the word in 2024. A year later, the party is on everyone’s lips. Sellner and Vosgerau should be in a good mood.
