Post calls 24/7 offensive for Vienna

Austriaische Post AG massively expands its self-service locations (SB) for 24/7 collection of packages in Vienna. This year around 25 new SB branches, 10 new large post stations and around 3,000 mail reception boxes will be built. This 24/7 offensive was announced at the official opening of the latest SB branch in the 5th district.

„We want to offer all Viennese a post station on the Schlackzradius and thus meet the customer’s need for receiving online orders at any time and at the desired location. Last year alone, in Vienna we handled almost nine million packages of this infrastructure, and the trend is rising. With our 24/7 offensive Vienna 2025 around post reception boxes, post stations and SB branches, we not only get closer to the people, but also enliven socket zones and business premises.“, Explains Walter Oblin, general director, Österreichische Post AG.

The new SB branch of the post office in the 5th district

The newly opened SB branch at Reinprechtsdorfer Straße 41 in 1050 Vienna is open 24/7. There are almost 700 pick -up compartments, two shipping stations and an ATM on approx. 130 m². Around 8,000 households in the immediate vicinity can pick up your packages around the clock or send it back as returns.

Dense post network in Vienna

In Vienna, Swiss Post is already operating a dense network of 86 post office and 25 post partners. In addition, there are 24 SB branches, almost 460 post stations with more than 62,000 pick-up subjects, around 210 shipping stations and more than 55,000 mail reception boxes directly in multi-party houses and housing or allotment settlements, all of which are available 24/7.
