On Wednesday, September 17th, the “Innovation in Politics Awards 2025” will be awarded in Vienna. For the 8th time, the coveted awards for particularly innovative political projects and initiatives from all over Europe are awarded in eight categories – from climate protection and social cohesion to education and public health.
The awards bring political innovators from all over Europe together for exchange. The crowning glory is the evening gala, in which the winners are announced. These were chosen by a citizen jury, consisting of more than 1000 Europeans.
For this occasion, the city of Vienna as the European Democratic Capital and the European Capital of Democracy NPO invite you to the press conference on Wednesday, September 17th at 12 p.m.
Among other things, three finalist projects are presented:
- “A Council that Cares – integrate young people with care experience into local democracy”, Cumberland, UK.
- “The first bioregion of the Baltic States – a new model for sustainable, location -related development”, Cēsis, Latvia.
- “Wiener Wäldchen – a new form of urban greening”, Vienna.
