The Austrian Pain Society (ÖSG) is facing a crucial milestone: the path to improving pain care in Austria could be fundamentally redesigned. The recent integration of pain medicine into the Austrian Structural Health Plan (ÖSG) offers one Opportunity of the century to sustainably improve the care of pain patients in all federal states.
But the work is not yet finished: In order to achieve this goal, the Regional Health Structural Plans (RSGs) in the individual federal states must also include pain medicine in their catalog of services. We would like to discuss this important next step with you at a press conference.
