The average food situation in Austrian schools and kindergartens calls for improvement. Shortly before the start of school and the National Council elections, four organizations from the field of nutrition and children are focusing on catering in educational institutions.
The following will be presented during the press conference:
- A study on the current food situation in Austria’s schools (Preventive Medicine Institute SIPCAN, Manuel Schatzer)
- Research findings on child poverty and nutrition (VOLKSHILFE AUSTRIA, Erich Fenninger)
- Results of a large party survey: What importance does catering in kindergartens and schools have for politics? (FUTURE ESSEN association, Natalie Lehner)
- What is the next Austrian government’s obligation to do? Requirements from the “National Action Plan for the Implementation of the European Guarantee for Children” (CHILDREN’S RIGHTS NETWORK AUSTRIA, Elisabeth Schaffelhofer-Garcia Marquez)
