Petition handover to Vice-BGM. Kay-Michael Dankl
Vienna/Salzburg (ots) –

In mid-November 2024, Vice Mayor Kay-Michael Dankl (KPÖ) asked the Salzburg population to submit ideas, as can be used in the future in the future.

Animal rights activists: Inside, the idea for a wildlife station urgently needed in Salzburg and the VGT, the ARGE city pigeons Salzburg and the Wildliehhilfe Tiniblue collected from December 9, 2024 to the beginning of February 2025 1,884 signatures of people who also support this idea.

Today, these signatures of activists were handed over to VGT Salzburg and the Arge city pigeon Salzburg to Vice Mayor Kay-Michael Dankl, who was happy to accept the petition. It supports and underlines the need for a wildlife sanctuary in the city of Salzburg. Mr. Dankl will approach the state of Salzburg with this urgent concern and expects responsibility regarding wildlife protection.

Salzburg currently has no central facility for the care of injured wild animals, which is an intolerable state for finders: inside of injured wild animals, veterinarian: inside and animal welfare organizations – and above all for injured and in need.

A wildlife station would create a valuable infrastructure and offer sustainable benefits for the city. The Frohnburgstadel could offer a central point of contact to provide professional care and maintenance and maintenance.

Georg Prinz, Deputy Chairman of the Association against animal factories, in addition: “We are pleased that Mr. Dankl took time for us and the wild animals and received our petition. Anchor protection is anchored as a state goal in federal and state constitution and it is gratifying that Mr. Dankl takes this responsibility and the concern of the population seriously to implement a wildlife station in Salzburg. We hope that there will soon be a central point of contact for injured and needed wild animals and also appeal to the state of Salzburg, to cooperate with the city and ensure rapid implementation.
