For over five decades, Peter Cornelius has been one of the most successful singer-songwriters in German-speaking countries. Many of his songs have long since become common knowledge – they are classics such as ‘Reif für die Insel’, ‘Segel im Wind’ and of course ‘You’re sorry, I know you’. The great art of Peter Cornelius is his way of singing, his guitar playing at the highest level and the gift of balance between music and text. Listen and sing along.
LIVE 2024: Four men. First and foremost: Cornelius, the frontman, the singer and always playing the guitar that corresponds to the song. With him on stage are bass, drums and keyboards. On the setlist – of course – many of the big hits but also song pearls that shimmer away from the spotlight. The special peculiarity of Peter Cornelius is his way of singing, his guitar playing and his talent for combining text and music so that they form a completely organic, natural unity. He often describes between songs how they came about. A wonderful two-hour, varied concert experience – with songs that he all wrote himself.
