Personnel changes in arte – appointments and mandate extensions in the Strasbourg headquarters

The General Assembly of Arte Geie has appointed new managers in the Strasbourg headquarters and extended several mandates.

Change in the program directorate from January 1, 2026:

Sylvie Stephan will take over the position of the managing program director on January 1, 2026.

Sylvie Stephan, currently deputy Arte program director and head of the Program Planning Linear and Non-Linears department, takes over the overall responsibility for the programming orientation of ARTE with the position of the new program director. In this function, she follows Ingrid Libercier, current ARTE program director, who will be devoted to new tasks at Arte France from 2026.

The Franco-German journalist and communication manager has many years of professional and media experience in both countries. Sylvie Stephan has been the head of the program planning and STV since 2022. Program director at Arte in Strasbourg. Previously, she was head of the Bavarian Radio of Culture (TV, Radio, online) and was responsible for the management of the BR department and the ARD press office (2018-19) as a company spokeswoman from 2014 to 2020. Among other things, she gained journalistic experience as an ARD radio correspondent and newspaper correspondent in Paris, where she regularly reported on cultural, political and socio-topics.

Christophe Jung will be head of the Linear and non -linear offers and deputy program director on January 1, 2026.

Christophe Jung, currently head of media research & program planning at Arte France, will succeed Sylvie Stephan as deputy program director and head of the main department program planning.

Christophe Jung studied in France and Germany and completed his studies with a master’s degree in International Business and Management at the EM Strasbourg Business School (formerly IECS). He started his professional career in media research at the French embassy in Bern. From 1994 to 1998 he worked in the management at the radio station Europe 1. In 1998 he moved to the management of the intendance at Saarland radio and came to the broadcasting center from Arte in Strasbourg in 2004 as head of the media research department. Since 2008 he worked in different functions in media research, program planning and coordination at Arte France. He has been head of media research & program planning at Arte France since 2021.

According to the statutes of the broadcaster, the positions of the managing program director of Arte Geie change between the German and the French side every four years.

Carolin Ollivier is appointed head of the main department.

Carolin Ollivier, editor -in -chief of the Arte Journal and deputy head of the Information Department, is appointed the new director and follows Renée Kaplan. Carolin Ollivier will exercise her mandate for the period from June 19, 2025 to August 31, 2027.

After studying political sciences in Bonn, Berlin and Paris, Carolin Ollivier began her journalistic career at the AVE television production company in Berlin. In 2006 she moved to ARTE Journal, initially as an editor and reporter, then as a moderator. From 2009 to 2013 she reported on the EU for Arte from Brussels. She has headed the Arte Journal editorial team since 2014 and is the deputy head of the information.

Barbara Häbe is appointed head of the main department feature film and television film.

Barbara Häbe, currently deputy head of the main department of the game and television film, succeeds Claudia Tronnier on July 1, 2025, who is retiring. Barbara Häbe will exercise her mandate for the period from July 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027.

Barbara Häbe has many years of experience in the development and support of high -quality European cinema productions and fictions. Since 2000 she has been the deputy head of the main department feature film and television film at Arte and has worked decisively in promoting young talent in short and long films (e.g. at the Atelier Fémis/Ludwigsburg). After studying economics at the University of Bremen, she specialized in dramaturgy and screenplay analysis at the Master School screenplay in Berlin. From 2002 to 2022 she also taught as a freelance lecturer at the Hamburg Media School in film studies.

The board of Arte Geie heads the day -to -day business for the broadcaster and regularly reports on his work in the general meeting of Arte. He consists of four members: the president and the Vice President, the program director and the administrative director.

The general meeting of Arte Geie meets four times a year. She decides on fundamental questions from the broadcaster, passes the business plan and appoints the board members and the leading employees of Arte Geie. It consists of six German and six French representatives. The European partners and institutions RTBF, RTVE, ORF, Yle, CT, SRG SSR, Rai Com, the Film Fund Luxembourg, RTé, LTV, LTV, LRT, SVT are also represented in an advisory capacity.
