Long-term contractual partnership ensures high quality and security of care for PV insured persons
Vienna, July 19, 2024 (OTS) – With 17 of its own rehabilitation centers and more than 150 contractual partners, Pension Insurance (PV) is the largest provider of health services in Austria. For the more than 5.6 million insured people and pensioners, PV offers highly specialized rehabilitation according to the most modern aspects based on a participation-oriented service profile and individual care in order to restore or maintain their ability to work and prevent or reduce the need for care.
Since the beginning of the reorganization of VAMED, PV has been in close communication with its long-standing contractual partner. As in the past, security of supply and high medical quality are the focus of mutual efforts. The medical service profile, which is contractually defined regardless of ownership, will continue to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and medical success in the future.

The long-standing, reliable cooperation makes VAMED an important partner for the pension insurance,” explain the pension insurance representatives Andreas Herz, MSc and Peter Schleinbach.
VAMED’s contractual partner institutions have been pension insurance partners for decades. Of the approximately 224,500 inpatient and outpatient medical procedures that were carried out by PV’s own rehabilitation centers and contract partner facilities in 2023, 11.6% were carried out in collaboration with VAMED facilities.
