Musk’s secret superpower so far: cheating his way past his own inferiority complex

Elon Musk cheated. The South African-born businessman was caught red-handed. The whole world could watch him. But what happened? Musk, who is only too happy to present himself to the public as an extremely talented video gamer, has been accused of fraud several times in recent days. On the online platform Reddit, a user has meticulously collected evidence that the high rank that Musk is said to have achieved in a very short time in the video game “Path of Exile 2” can by no means be the work of the multimillionaire alone.
The game, which was only released in December, requires a lot of time and skills, as the motor skills of video gamers are called. Above all, the time required caused many gamers to doubt early on that Musk alone could achieve a place among the 25 best players worldwide. As a businessman and advisor to the future US President Donald Trump, despite all the billions, he only has 24 hours a day at his disposal.
However, to be so high in the international rankings of this complex video game not only requires an enormous amount of time, but also certain skills. It was exactly these skills that Musk missed so badly during a gaming session. At the beginning of January, the CEO of Tesla streamed the game on X in front of an audience of millions. Experts quickly found some inconsistencies during this session. The billionaire couldn’t find his way around the game menu, left interesting items behind several times and seemed inexperienced in the fights.
The evidence was overwhelming. But the biggest faux pas happened to Musk during the interview with the AfD’s top candidate in the upcoming federal election campaign, Alice Weidel, which made worldwide headlines. At the same time as the dialogue, his character fought his way through the game world. Now there are two explanations for this: Either Musk was playing the game during the interview, or the billionaire is paying someone to play the game for him.
“His fraud is the gamer equivalent of a copied dissertation,” says Social Democrat Stefan Lauer, summing up the seriousness of the misdeed on the X intelligence service. Professional fraudsters, also known as cheaters, are considered undignified crooks in gaming. Special anti-cheating programs therefore provide a certain level of protection against such cheaters in many online games. This is where tough action is taken. The motto is: Anyone who cheats will be disqualified.
Elon Musk has not yet been disqualified. Although, as one user reported on Reddit, his attempt to write to Musk’s account in the game was automatically translated into Chinese. This suggests that the player is playing the game in Chinese. A more obvious conclusion that quite a few observers are currently drawing: A player from China is generating progress in the game on behalf of Musk. Musk then uses this success as proof of his expertise in gaming. This particularly impresses technology-savvy men. The most important target group for Musk’s infinite visions.
Just recently, a critic within the party described the South African-born entrepreneur as a “billionaire with the maturity of a child.” The fact that Musk sees the world as a toy doesn’t bode well for the future, but the savior of the masculinists doesn’t have any skills other than those of a fraudster, which makes things completely scary.
In the meantime, Elon Musk has admitted in a conversation with the YouTuber “NikoWrex” that he does account sharing, i.e. sharing a user account with at least one other player in order to increase his ranking.
