“ÖVP continues to flood Austria with migrants at taxpayer expense”

“While the planned traffic light government made up of ÖVP, SPÖ and Neos does not even begin to shine and the budget becomes an ever-growing bottomless pit, the so-called People’s Party continues to flood our country with asylum seekers. Of course, the taxpayer bears the costs. In 2024 alone, 67,500 German course places and around 80,000 integration tests took place – the next superlatives in the area of ​​asylum,” said the liberal Secretary General NAbg. Michael Schnedlitz today in response to current figures from the Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF). “Integration must first and foremost be an obligation to bring and not all-inclusive accommodation at the expense of the taxpayer, which also doesn’t work,” continued Schnedlitz.

In this context, Franz Wolf, the director of the ÖIF, confirmed the liberal fears and warnings that the recognition of asylum in Austria is still on the rise and that the educational level of immigrants is not the highest. “The election losers, ÖVP Minister Karner and his Chancellor Nehammer, are still trying to deceive the population with horse fraud and embellished figures, while immigration continues unhindered and the problems associated with it are constantly increasing. Nehammer and ÖVP are failing across the board and are spending huge amounts of money on this failure. That’s absurd. “But what do you expect from a person who wants to play chancellor even though he was voted out,” said Schnedlitz.

“According to the ÖIF, around 240,000 consultations were carried out this year, most of them of course in the federal capital Vienna. What is also shocking is that of the 80,000 integration tests, only 40 percent were passed successfully. These figures once again show the failure of the ÖVP in the area of ​​asylum. Only an FPÖ in government responsibility with a People’s Chancellor Herbert Kickl can put a stop to this dangerous nonsense with a fortress in Austria. A left-wing traffic light government with an ÖVP as a quasi junior partner of red and pink red will at best make the situation worse,” emphasized Schnedlitz.
