The state of Vorarlberg awards the seal of quality to the ORF state studio for the third time in a row
Vienna (OTS) – On Thursday, February 1, 2024, ORF Vorarlberg was confirmed as an “Excellent family-friendly company 2024-2025”. For the third time, the state of Vorarlberg presented the regional broadcaster with this seal of approval for its employee-friendly initiatives.
At a festive ceremony in the Montforthaus in Feldkirch, State Governor Markus Wallner presented the certificate to ORF State Director Markus Klement and Sonja Mohr (Finance & Controlling ORF Vorarlberg). With the awarding of the award, ORF Vorarlberg is certified for another two years.
ORF Vorarlberg initiatives
ORF Vorarlberg promotes the compatibility of family, work and private life with numerous measures. With these, the company wants to ensure flexibility and relief in everyday work and increase satisfaction among the workforce. Employees are supported with reserved, partially financed childcare places. In the in-house canteen “Sendepause”, emphasis is placed on healthy, varied and inexpensive lunch dishes. There is also the option to take food away. When designing the roster, family needs are taken into account, such as the need for care due to illness or age. Planning is carried out early so that as many people in the team as possible can start their vacation as desired.
Appraised areas of action
Eight fields of action were assessed during the recertification at ORF Vorarlberg: working hours, maternity leave and re-entry, parental support, career and care, family-friendly facilities, leadership, further training and family-conscious corporate culture.
Roland Weißmann, General Director of ORF: “The compatibility of family and career is a major concern for ORF. The renewed award of this seal of quality makes it clear to the general public that ORF Vorarlberg’s commitment makes it an attractive and family-friendly employer in the state. I warmly congratulate!”
Markus Klement, regional director of ORF Vorarlberg: “If the employees are doing well, it has a positive effect on the company. With its numerous initiatives, ORF Vorarlberg would like to take the needs of the workforce into account as much as possible and thus try to make it easier to combine family and work.”
Sonja Mohr, Finance & Controlling ORF Vorarlberg: “Every investment in the better balance of family and career for our employees is worth the money and always pays off.”
