Vorarlberg bands and solo acts can apply on vorarlberg.ORF.at until May 6, 2024
Vienna (OTS) – The countdown is running! Registrations for ORF Vorarlberg’s important music prize “Sound@V” can still be submitted until May 6, 2024. For the fifth time, Vorarlberg musicians are invited to be part of the big open-air award show in front of the “Old Hallenbad” as part of the “Poolbar Festival” in Feldkirch. You can win sensational prize money totaling 25,000 euros.
Participation in four categories
Vorarlberg musicians can apply in the four categories Pop/Rock, Open Pool, Alternative/Singer-Songwriter and “Newcomer presented by AKM/aume” until May 6th at vorarlberg.ORF.at. The big award show will take place on July 5th in Feldkirch.
All musicians who were born in Vorarlberg and/or have lived in Vorarlberg for more than three years can take part. Bands must have at least one member who was born in Vorarlberg and/or has lived in Vorarlberg for more than three years. There is no age limit. The artistic performance must be assignable to the four main categories. Only bands or solo acts whose performance consists predominantly of their own compositions can take part. The titles submitted must have been composed or published a maximum of three years ago. The winners from 2023 cannot start this year.
Expert jury female power
In June, an expert jury will select the winners of the respective categories together with the votes from the online voting on vorarlberg.ORF.at. With Hannah and Laura Breitfuß from the Austrian band “Cousines like Shit” and FM4 presenter and journalist Riem Higazi, three music experts have already been recruited to the jury.
Strong partners
The ORF Vorarlberg music award “Sound@V” is held together with “Marke Vorarlberg”, “NEUE am Sonntag” and the “Poolbar Festival”. The “Newcomer” category is presented by the collecting society AKM/aume.
