16 Vorarlberg bands and solo acts in the race for prize money totaling 25,000 euros
Vienna (OTS) – Since March of this year, 84 Vorarlberg bands and solo acts have submitted their applications for the ORF Vorarlberg music award “Sound@V” 2024. A team from ORF Vorarlberg, the Poolbar Festival and “NEUE am Sonntag” has now nominated the 16 finalists. Now an international jury of experts and, from June 3rd, the audience will decide via online voting who the winners of “Sound@V” 2024 are. There are four acts to choose from in each of the four categories Rock/Pop, Alternative/Singer-Songwriter, Open Pool and Newcomer presented by AKM/aume:

Online voting at vorarlberg.ORF.at
It will soon be the fans’ turn: the big online voting starts on June 3rd at vorarlberg.ORF.at. Everyone is invited to vote diligently for their favorites until June 28th. With every click, the nominees come one step closer to the coveted music prize. The final result is made up of online voting and the expert opinion of an international jury. Part of this top-class jury includes Hannah and Laura Breitfuß from the Austrian band “Cousines like Shit” as well as FM4 presenter and journalist Riem Higazi.
Award ceremony at award show
Whoever wins a total of 25,000 euros in prize money at the big “Sound@V” award show will then appear at the Poolbar Festival in Feldkirch on July 5th. Entry to this event is free.
Big stage in advance
The nominees in the four main categories will be announced before the online voting begins on the TV program “Vorarlberg today” (7 p.m., ORF 2 V), on ORF Radio Vorarlberg in the programs “Sound-Check” (Tuesday at 9 p.m.) and “ “Im Ländle groovts” (Wednesday at 9 p.m.), presented online at vorarlberg.ORF.at and in the ORF Vorarlberg social media channels on Facebook (ORF Vorarlberg) and Instagram (orfvorarlberg).
Joint initiative
The ORF Vorarlberg music award “Sound@V” is held together with “Marke Vorarlberg”, “NEUE am Sonntag” and the “Poolbar Festival”. The “Newcomer” category is presented by the collecting society AKM/aume.
