ORF Vorarlberg live at the “White Ring”

ORF Radio Vorarlberg will broadcast twelve hours live from the glass studio in Lech am Arlberg on January 13, 2024

Vienna (OTS) Since the winter of 2005/2006, the legendary “The White Ring” ski race in Lech-Zürs am Arlberg has thrilled countless winter sports enthusiasts from home and abroad. On Saturday, January 13, 2024, it will be that time again: around 1,000 participants will climb 5,500 meters in altitude on the 22-kilometer route. ORF Radio Vorarlberg is there live and broadcasts programs directly from Arlberg from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Glass studio at 1,440 meters above sea level

Right at the starting point, on Rüfiplatz in the center of Lech, is the ORF Vorarlberg mobile radio studio. Here the presenters from ORF Vorarlberg will welcome athletes, celebrities and participants. Of course there is also the right sound from ORF Radio Vorarlberg. All programs are broadcast live from the “Studio am Berg”.

Well informed from 6 a.m

ORF Radio Vorarlberg is already broadcasting the morning show “Guten Morgen Vorarlberg” live from Lech from 6 a.m. Reinhard Wittwer moderates until 10 a.m., then Inés Mäser takes over until 2 p.m. and Christian Suter accompanies live from Lech until 6 p.m. Reporter Nicole Benvenuti travels with athletes, talks to celebrities and meets many locals and vacationers.

In addition to the live broadcasts on ORF Radio Vorarlberg, vorarlberg.ORF.at shows the best pictures and provides exciting insights into the iconic race on the Arlberg. There will be a detailed report and interviews from the “White Ring” on January 13th in the TV magazine “Vorarlberg today” (7 p.m., ORF 2 V).

Markus Klement, regional director of ORF Vorarlberg: “In its media, ORF Vorarlberg offers one of the most legendary ski races in the world as well as the top atmosphere directly from the race track. Thanks to the numerous programs, reports and online stories, our audience is very close to it.”

Angelika Simma-Wallinger, editor-in-chief of ORF Vorarlberg: “Radio is images in the head and in the glass studio people can watch and listen to us create these images for our audience. All of this in front of a great mountain backdrop and with plenty of snow. ‘ORF for everyone’ – this time on skis!”
