ORF Radio Vorarlberg’s glass studio directly in the Silvretta Montafon ski area
Vienna (OTS) – Austria is excited about the FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup and ORF Vorarlberg will be there live when the world’s best snowboard crossers start the finals of the best 32 on March 16th and 17th, 2024. All sports enthusiasts can follow the spectacle via the ORF media on TV, radio, online and social media.
Top sporting performances
For the first time this year, the World Cup competitions will take place in Montafon in spring. At the same time, this year’s event is also the first dress rehearsal for the 2027 FIS Freestyle, Freeski and Snowboard World Championships in Montafon. A spectacular course awaits the athletes at Grasjoch. The route is one of the most attractive in this year’s World Cup season and is absolutely suitable for the World Cup.

ORF Radio Vorarlberg’s mobile studio is located in Silvretta-Park Montafon. From there, the ORF Vorarlberg team will provide multimedia information about what is happening and bring the unique atmosphere to the sports enthusiasts. On both race days (March 16th and 17th), ORF Radio Vorarlberg will broadcast live from the glass studio. It will be broadcast live on Saturday, March 16th from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday, March 17th from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Dominic Dapré, Heinrich Sohm and Christian Suter are reporting from St. Gallenkirch in Hochmontafon. They constantly report on the races and what is happening around them. Reporter Pierce Lange is in the area talking to athletes, fans and participants. Of course there is also the appropriate sound from ORF Radio Vorarlberg. On March 16th, after the award ceremony in Silvretta Park, there will be a concert with the top Austrian band “folkshilfe” right next to the glass studio of ORF Radio Vorarlberg.

The TV program “Vorarlberg today” (7 p.m., ORF 2 V) features detailed reports and interviews from the races and surrounding events on both evenings.
