ORF Vorarlberg is launching three new podcasts

Now a total of ten podcast offerings: information, inspiration, culture and entertainment for everyone and available at any time

Vienna (OTS) In May 2024, ORF Vorarlberg will expand its diverse podcast family with three more members. “Sunsch no was” about exciting career plans and changing values starts on May 2nd, “Heiter bis wechselhaft” about the menopause on May 7th and the true crime podcast “Tatort Vorarlberg” goes into a second season at the end of May. This means ORF Vorarlberg listeners can choose from a total of ten podcasts. They can all be found on the websites vorarlberg.ORF.at and sound.ORF.at/podcast/vbg as well as wherever podcasts are available.

“Sunsch no was” – Podcast about women and changing values

“So what?” Yes! There is still a lot to do when it comes to values and equality in Vorarlberg. In this podcast about women and changing values, presenter Luca Martina Huber presents exciting career paths and diverse lifestyles. The podcast inspires and encourages people to define and implement goals, reflect on personal attitudes, illuminate patriarchal structures and make strengths and diverse viewpoints visible.

Luca Martina Huber, presenter “Sunsch no was”: “‘Sunsch no was’ is my heart’s project, my baby that I have raised for the last two years. It’s about values and, above all, how values are changing: in relation to gender, roles and equal opportunities. It all started because I wanted to make women from Vorarlberg visible and show the diverse lives of Vorarlberg women and bring their wealth of experience and expertise to the forefront.”

With “happy to changeable” into the menopause

It’s time to talk openly about menopause. Although this health issue affects around a million women in Austria, it is still considered taboo. Women often know little about these changes in their bodies. When the first symptoms such as joint pain, irritability, insomnia and difficulty concentrating appear in your late 30s or early 40s, they are often not even perceived as symptoms of the change. Moderator Nicole Benvenuti looks for help and information and shows that women are not alone with their questions and insecurities. She speaks with doctors, experts, trailblazers and other people who can support women on the miraculous journey through menopause.

Nicole Benvenuti, presenter “Cheerful to Changeable”: “Menopause is an issue because it is still not discussed enough. It’s high time we asked ourselves through the menopause, and I can promise it will be ‘cheerful to changeable’, sometimes bumpy, sometimes funny – but above all one thing: extremely informative. The point is that transition is not a taboo topic, but that women in midlife are strong, healthy and visible. Let’s go to the next level of femininity!”

“Tatort Vorarlberg” – insights into the dark side of Vorarlberg

Why can a burglar seem likeable? What are three rocker guys from Cologne doing with a gun and a stun gun in Montafon? And why is a criminal who didn’t even hurt anyone sentenced to 15 years in prison for attempted murder? There are real criminal cases at “Tatort Vorarlberg”. ORF Vorarlberg’s true crime podcast is now entering its second season with presenter Nicole Oberhauser. At her side is the former head of the homicide department Norbert Schwendinger.

Nicole Oberhauser, presenter “Tatort Vorarlberg”: “We are very close to the biggest crimes: serial burglars who broke into houses while the residents were sleeping, a brutal hostage-taking, but also perhaps the stupidest criminals in the country who do pretty much everything wrong have made. Top criminalist Norbert Schwendinger and I provide insights into the dark side of Vorarlberg with the second season of ‘Tatort Vorarlberg’.”

Markus Klement, regional director of ORF Vorarlberg: “Three new podcasts, which are designed and moderated by talented colleagues with Luca Martina Huber, Nicole Benvenuti and Nicole Oberhauser. With the three formats, ORF Vorarlberg’s podcast range has grown to ten offers and offers content for everyone who wants to be informed, inspired and entertained.”

Angelika Simma-Wallinger, editor-in-chief of ORF Vorarlberg: “More and more people are incorporating podcasts into their daily media use. You want to combine work, sport or mobility with an exciting crime story or a good interview. Audio is in the DNA of our editorial work. It’s great that we can now offer our audience more offers. Thanks to the great editorial team.”
