Vienna (OTS) – Three months before the EU elections, the course has been set:
The incumbent EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is once again pushing for the leadership of the powerful EU Commission. Austrian parties are also putting forward their candidate(s) for the EU Parliament. The domestic electorate in particular is critical of the EU – according to a survey, only 42 percent of those surveyed see Austria’s membership in the EU positively. What role does the EU itself play in this and what role does national politics play? What challenges will the community of states face and how can the EU position itself in the world?
