Vienna (OTS) – “Old Dogs – New Tricks” is the program of “We State Artists” in the ORF summer cabaret on Friday, July 19, 2024, on ORF 1 and on ORF ON: Florian Scheuba, Thomas Maurer and Robert Palfrader are in touch with the ORF premiere and present their party program, which was developed in an interplay between harsh satire and light-hearted humor. There’s even more to laugh about afterwards when we see “Fakt oder Fake” at 9.20 p.m. with Oliver Baier, Katharina Straßer and Marianne Mendt as well as “What’s new?” – Classics” at 10:25 p.m. with the funniest questions and guesses from the past few years.
ORF summer cabaret: “We state artists ‘Old Dogs – New Tricks’” at 8:15 p.m
For the first time, the “state artists” actively intervene in the political competition in the Republic of Austria. In the interplay between harsh satire and light-hearted humor, Florian Scheuba, Thomas Maurer and Robert Palfrader are developing a party program that aims to get citizens out of their disillusionment with politics. The stated goals are to make it easier to corrupt advertisements, get citizens’ meetings in the Steirereck, beautify house facades nationwide through demolition and put an end to soil sealing. And in order to offer the electorate something to please their hearts, they came up with man’s best friend. Leash on, the dogs are on the loose!
“Fact or Fake” at 9:20 p.m
Clemens Maria Schreiner has reversed the roles in this issue:
He asks “What’s new?” presenter Oliver Baier whether his absurd stories and videos are “fact or fake”. Actress Katharina Straßer and music and acting legend Marianne Mendt are also on the advice team. They ask themselves the questions: Is it true that one dog year is equivalent to seven human years? And can individual drops of water simply remain standing in the air? Puzzles upon puzzles – but there are answers to all of them!
“What’s new? – Classics” at 10:25 p.m
From the “maiden shelf” to the “problem composer” – a reunion with the funniest questions and answers from the popular guess comedy with Oliver Baier can be found at “What’s new? – Classics”. Looking back at the highlights of the past few years, we can see, among others, Michael Mittermeier, Lukas Resetarits, Clemens Maria Schreiner, Monica Weinzettl, Ulrike Beimpold, Florian Scheuba and Viktor Gernot.
