ORF RSO Vienna in March: Premiere of Hannah Eisendle’s “no na” and Aureliano Cattaneo’s “Not Alone We Fly” with Patricia Kopatchinskaja

Vienna (OTS) The ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna will play the last three performances of Charles Gounod’s opera “Roméo et Juliette” at the MusikTheater an der Wien on March 1st, 3rd and 5th. Under chief conductor Marin Alsop, the orchestra will play Gustav Mahler’s 9th Symphony at the Vienna Musikverein on March 15th and the premiere of Hannah Eisendle’s “no na” and the Austrian premiere of Aureliano Cattaneo’s “Not Alone We Fly” at the Vienna Konzerthaus on March 21st. with violinist and dedicatee Patricia Kopatchinskaja.

The last three of the six performance dates of Charles Gounod’s opera “Roméo et Juliette” will take place on March 1st, 3rd and 5th (7 p.m.) at the MusikTheater an der Wien in Hall E in the MuseumsQuartier. The orchestra plays under the direction of Kirill Karabits. Melissa Petit, Julien Behr, Daniel Mirosław, Leon Košavić, Svetlina Stoyanova, Brett Polegato, Brian Michael Moore, Carole Wilson, Alexander Teliga, Andrew Hamilton, Adrian Autard and the Arnold Schoenberg Choir sing. Marie-Eve Signeyrole is responsible for the production. Ö1 will broadcast the concert recording of the premiere on Saturday, March 23rd (7:30 p.m.).

Gustav Mahler’s 9th Symphony in D major is on the program on Friday, March 15th (7:30 p.m.). The orchestra plays under chief conductor Marin Alsop at the Musikverein Wien. The concert recording can be heard on Ö1 on Thursday, March 21st (7:30 p.m.).

On Thursday, March 21st (7:30 p.m.) the ORF RSO Vienna will play in the Vienna Konzerthaus. Under the direction of Marin Alsop, the orchestra presents the premiere of Hannah Eisendle’s “no na”, the Austrian premiere of Aureliano Cattaneo’s “Not Alone We Fly” with soloist and dedicatee Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Roxanna Panufnik’s “Two Composers, Four Hands” and James MacMillans “Woman of the Apocalypse.” Ö1 will broadcast the concert recording on Sunday, April 7th (7:45 p.m.). From April 3rd to 9th, the RSO Vienna will be on tour in China under the direction of Wayne Mashall with works by George Gershwin and John Williams.
