Vienna (OTS) – The “Vienna Today” summer discussion series is about the future challenges of a growing metropolis and the effects on the everyday lives of Viennese people. The interviews can be seen weekly from Saturday, July 20th to Saturday, August 31st, 2024 in the news magazine “Wien aktuell” (daily from 7 p.m., ORF 2 W and ORF ON).
The focus is on exciting and explosive topics that will make up the city of tomorrow. Climate researcher Marc Olefs, education expert Mario Steiner, city planner Rudolf Scheuvens, robotics expert Markus Vincze, cultural scientist Cornelia Dlabaja, the technical managing director of Wiener Linien Gudrun Senk and the expert for new working models Lena Marie Glaser are guests.
How will climate developments affect the city and its residents, what tasks do robots take on for us, how sustainable is public transport, which transports more than two million people every day, how to plan new districts, how crisis-proof is city tourism and how Is the education system socially fair?
With the seven-part summer discussion series, the “Vienna Today” editorial team wants to take a look at “Vienna Tomorrow” from July 20, 2024 and give viewers insights into scientific findings and suggestions, which are often the basis for political decision-making.
