Filmmakers in exchange with Vorarlberg students
Vienna (OTS) – Breathtaking landscapes, impressive natural paradises, amazing animal behavior – with this recipe, “Universum” has not only become one of ORF’s most popular television programs over the past 37 years, but also a globally recognized brand. The local nature filmmakers often work on a film for years to capture all the impressive animal and landscape shots.
Enthusiastic young people
One of these film producers, Patrick Centurioni, was a guest at the ORF Landesfunkhaus Vorarlberg in Dornbirn on June 27, 2024 as part of the ORF event series “’Universum’ on Tour”. There he answered questions from around 200 interested Vorarlberg students, including from the Bundesrealgymnasium Dornbirn Schoren with a focus on natural sciences and the secondary school for communication and media design in Rankweil.
“Universe” up close
Centurioni presented the high-quality productions in conversation with ORF Vorarlberg presenter Christiane Schwald-Pösel. Exciting excerpts on “Kleiber”, “Squirrel”, “Owl” and all things “Wind Turbines” provided interesting insights into the producer’s elaborate and detailed “Universe” programs.
Markus Klement, regional director of ORF Vorarlberg: “Of the high-quality nature film series ‘Universum’, there have been four documentaries in and from Vorarlberg alone with the regions of Lake Constance, Montafon, Bregenzerwald and Arlberg in the last ten years. I am all the more pleased that we were able to give around 200 young people from Vorarlberg an insight into the work of these high-gloss productions.”
