Vienna (OTS) – After Max Dasch’s death, ORF General Director Roland Weißmann praised him as a “publisher and editor of the old school. He always placed what unites above what divides and – as APA board member and VÖZ president – did not see the ORF as a competitor, but as a partner in the transfer of culture and knowledge. This type of journalism still characterizes the ‘Salzburger Nachrichten’ today, which Max Dasch built up from a regional medium into a national quality newspaper and thereby – as in all of his professional work – strengthened Austria as a media location.
