ORF expands KIDS offering: New app launches on October 23rd

More from ORF KIDS – the new app for children combines adventure and playful learning! The ORF KIDS offering will be expanded to include a new offering starting today, Wednesday, October 23, 2024. ORF KIDS, an ad-free, barrier-free and violence-free streaming platform for children, is now also available as an app that offers a safe and entertaining platform on which children can experience exciting adventures and learn through play at the same time. The app’s extensive offering includes the ORF KIDS live stream, a variety of high-quality series and many ORF KIDS in-house productions that are designed to stimulate the imagination and promote important skills. The user-friendly interface ensures that children can navigate independently and safely. Parents can rely on the content being prepared in a child-friendly manner and free of advertising. ORF KIDS offers children a platform to browse so that every child can find the content that excites them.

Numerous new formats – from “Demokratino” to “Dancing with the Stars” to “Kunst Kids”

Since October 14th, there have been many new products on ORF KIDS that are also available in the app: The series “Demokratino” introduces children to the topic of democracy in a playful way. At “Dancing with the Stars” children learn different dance styles – from waltz to hip-hop – under the guidance of professionals from the ORF show “Dancing Stars”. In “The Garden Pirates” children discover the world of plants with Captain Robert Steiner and co-presenter “Lila Grasgrün”. “What’s up?” offers children the interactive opportunity to discuss topics such as sustainability and digital media with presenter Melanie Österreicher. In new episodes “Kling Klang”, children accompany the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra, learn about instruments and experience musical adventures. Benni and Gucki explore Austria as “The Adventure Checkers” and experience exciting adventures. “Drunter & Drüber” combines music, magic and entertainment with guest stars. In “Talk with Bamlak”, presenter Bamlak Werner offers children a platform for discussions on topics such as friendship and media use. The “Kids Stage” shows cultural events from all over Austria. The “Art Kids” series takes children to museums and operas to discover art. “Hack Check” offers life hacks for children with practical tips for everyday life. “News from the Treasure Chest” explores old, now rare objects. Last but not least there is a Christmas special with Timna Brauer and “Tell me about Christmas” with prominent guests.
