Vienna (OTS) – More than 40 colleagues from AHS Theodor Kramer gathered in front of the school on March 22nd to send a signal to those responsible in the Ministry of Education and the Education Directorate. We demand more multi-professional support from school psychology and school social work as well as significantly more support for students with special needs. Because: Our students need support.
Instead of more and more unpaid tasks for us teachers in addition to our teaching obligations, we demand the implementation of the step-by-step plan that the union has been demanding for years to increase the number of multi-professional support staff!
We also don’t want to accept the fact that we have first classes with up to 29 students when the goal for decades has actually been a group size of 25 students.
We want a school that we deserve!
The ÖLI-UG believes that recognizable steps are needed from the minister and the union, i.e. more actions instead of words, and refers to its press releases from February 21, 2024 and March 12, 2024.
