ÖHV wants tax advantage for full -time
Vienna (OTS) –

“Put part-time employees in the non-provider-deck brings us just as little as companies,” Walter Veit, the president of the Austrian hotel association, wants more objectivity in the debate about full and part-time: “Otherwise we will not come to any solution.”

Anyone who works full -time should pay less taxes

Veit has a proposal for a solution: the wage tax should be linked to the amount of income as before, but a discount for full -time employees should be supplemented – as an incentive. “Increasing working hours would be more attractive if the hourly wages, which pays off more often, still rises.” Veit is convinced against higher wages for employees, the employee side is difficult to object: “Nobody is punished, nobody is being bashed, everyone benefits.”

Veit wants incentive for full -time through less taxes and more childcare

In addition to the shortage of workers, this would also defuse the second major location problem: the high tax burden at work. But more, according to Veit: “Full -time should not fail because of the lack of childcare. According to the government program, the expansion for 2026 is planned. The plans should slowly be on the table if this is to be implemented next year.”
