The Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK) is aiming for a prompt implementation of a uniform medical office contract that is valid across Austria. The aim is to present a nationwide fee model with uniform tariffs by mid -2026. For this reason, the ÖGK pushes the medical association for negotiation talks in order to work together on a solution acceptable for all sides.

Another central concern is to jointly develop opportunities for the damping of follow -up costs – of course without shortening the necessary services, but to shorten waiting times for necessary services. The focus should be on the avoidance of non -necessary services and the exhaustion of existing potential. This also results in more scope for fee adjustments.
