“The travel traffic on Sunday morning was quite quiet. So far, there were only short delays at the Walserberg (A1) border, on the Tauern Autobahn (A10) to the south and on the East Autobahn (A4) on arrival for the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Budapest,” reported the ÖAMTC mobility information.
The travel wave from Bavaria caused delays of up to 20 minutes at the Walserberg border crossing in the morning, 7 kilometers of traffic jam near Flachau and a short waiting period in front of the toilet stoint near St. Michael to the south.
There was an accident on the east Autobahn (A4) at 8:00 a.m. at Neusiedl am See. The lock for the purpose of accident recording caused a short backflow when arriving for Formula 1 Grand Prix in Budapest. Traffic also stalled on the detour route via Neusiedl am See. The lock is now canceled. The ÖAMTC mobility information recorded short waiting times when leaving the Nickelsdorf border crossing.
ZTl.: Adjust the driving style to the conditions
In view of the changeable weather conditions, the ÖAMTC appeals to always adapt the driving style to the current road and weather conditions. For rain, forward -looking driving, sufficient distance and breaks are important in order to avoid accidents and to offer all road users more security.
Service: Current traffic information, weekend forecasts and deafing at: (www.oeamtc.at/verkehr) or in cross-transport ÖAMTC route planner (www.oeamtc.at/routenplaner) as well as in the app of the club (www.oeamtc.at/apps). The integrated traffic Alert, which automatically indicates delays along personal favorite routes, is particularly practical and suggests suitable alternative opportunities.
