Road closures after storms in Styria
Vienna (OTS) – Due to heavy thunderstorms on Saturday evening, a mudslide occurred at the Bösebach junction on the A9 heading south. The carriageway was buried. Due to flooding and access for emergency services, the north direction was soon closed. Traffic will be rerouted via S6 and S35 from St. Michael and Deutschfeistritz respectively. The situation is expected to last until Sunday.
Numerous connections throughout Styria were under water, for example the A2 exit Hartberg. She was also blocked. Further mudslides also occurred on state roads. The B114a also had to pass St.Georgen ob Judenberg.
