The ÖAAB Vienna mourns the loss of Thomas Huger, long-time chairman of the ÖAAB Donaustadt and committed district councilor, who has unexpectedly left us. Huger, a single father from Eßling, was a tireless fighter for the interests of Donaustadt residents. His commitment to the concerns of his fellow human beings and his dedication to the political goals of the ÖAAB made him an indispensable personality in his district.
“Thomas Huger was a role model for all of us. He was always passionate about the interests of working people in the Danube city and never lost touch with the citizens. His loss is a heavy blow for the ÖAAB Vienna and the entire Danube city,” said ÖAAB regional chairman Hannes Taborsky.
ÖAAB regional managing director Stefan Lochmahr is also deeply affected: “With Thomas Huger we are losing a passionate colleague who was always there for the people. His commitment and down-to-earth attitude were outstanding. He was actively involved until the very end and fought tirelessly for the concerns of the people of Donaustadt.”
The ÖAAB Vienna expresses its deep condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
