With nine restaurants recognized by Guide Michelin, Nuremberg has the most Michelin stars per capita among major German cities. This emerges from a current evaluation by the food blog “Chef’s Pencil”. The Middle Franconian city ranks 13th worldwide. In a European comparison, the city is even ranked 8th.
“Nuremberg has developed into a center for fine dining,” says Yvonne Coulin, managing director of the Nuremberg Congress and Tourism Center (CTZ). “With a growing number of starred restaurants and the remarkable density of fine dining restaurants, the city is an outstanding destination for lovers of fine dining.” The restaurants Waidwerk, Tisane, Veles, ZweiSinn Meiers, Koch und Kellner, Entenstuben and – new this year – the Restaurant Wonka have been awarded a Michelin star. With two stars and the Green Star, the etz restaurant and the Essigbrätlein have a special distinction.
The CTZ took the high number of star and fine dining restaurants as an opportunity to launch the “Dining Affairs” multiplier campaign. As part of this campaign, the CTZ provides prepared content on the topic of “Fine Dining”. Media representatives can stay in the newly designed Media Room https://tourismus.nuernberg.de/medien Content in the form of text modules, images and radio footage for research purposes.
