Towders of free hands-on offers will be carried out by July 4, 2025, around 2,500 children from 30 kindergartens and schools are registered for this. Among other things, there are workshops for a healthy snack, theater performances, cooking workshops, excursions and a station company at the Agricultural technical school in Klessheim, but also a day of action on food waste.
“Makes sugar stupid?”: Public start on June 25th in Salzburg
In addition to the activities in the educational institutions, there are also public offers to which all interested parties are invited. Film screening & discussion starts on June 25, 2025 in the Oval cinema in the Europark. With the participation of experts, it is devoted to the question of how sugar affects the early childhood development of the brain and is carried out in cooperation with ARTE, the Catholic Education Service Salzburg and the Robert Jungk Library.
Another public highlight is the grill stand of the consumer dialogue partner Ama marketing as part of the Salzburg city festival from June 27th to 29th at the Alten Markt. On Saturday, June 28th at 1:00 p.m., the Mayor of Salzburg Bernhard Auinger and Común board member Sebastian Bohrn Mena will go for the grill tongs.
Finale at the end of school on July 4th with State Secretary in Hallein
The crowning glory will then be a visit by Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig, Austrian State Secretary for Health, in Hallein on July 4, the last day of school. At the invitation of Mayor Alexander Stangassinger, she meets a group of people from politics, business and civil society for an exchange on healthy eating in the town hall.
From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the same day, all school children and families at the lower market in Hallein are invited by the partners of the “consumer dialogues” to sustainable and regional snacks.
