From January 25th to 28th on ORF 1; Romy Prize winners Roscher and Goldberger moderate the opening ceremony
Vienna (OTS) – Where Hillsize 235 is located, thrills are guaranteed; the hill record is 244 meters. The highlight of the 2023/24 ski jumping season is the Ski Flying World Championships in Bad Mitterndorf am Kulm. And the Austrian team is going into the competition stronger than it has been for years. ORF 1 will broadcast the qualification and all competitions up to the final team competition live from January 25th to 28th.
And the ORF team, led by Hans Hengst, also has the strongest line-up: Michael Roscher and his experts Andi Goldberger and Martin Koch commentate, and Boris Kastner-Jirka reports from the World Cup studio. After Martin Koch has ended his career as a camera jumper, 24-year-old Maximilian Lienher will walk over the mighty Bakken with four cameras (two on his helmet, two on his skis). Director Werner Mitterer has a total of 25 cameras at his disposal for the broadcast, including a race drone that accompanies the jumper in the air.
Opening ceremony on January 25th moderated by Roscher and Goldberger
There will be a premiere for the ORF commentator duo Michael Roscher and Andreas Goldberger: The two will moderate the opening ceremony in the Steirergwand, which ORF 1 will also broadcast live on January 25th at 5 p.m. Goldberger has fond memories of the Kulm, as he became ski flying world champion there in 1996. Michael Roscher: “The atmosphere at the Ski Flying Home World Championships will be great, as Stefan Kraft and the team are among the big favorites in the individual competition. And it’s time for an Austrian world champion, Gregor Schlierenzauer’s last title was 16 years ago.”
