As forecast from the ÖAMTC-Expert: forecast inside, the traffic jams were limited at the beginning of the holiday in Eastern Austria. There were delays in Vienna and in Styria in front of construction sites, border guards in Drasenhofen.
So on the south -east Tangente (A23), in both directions, between the distribution group favorites and Hirschstetten and in Styria on the southern Autobahn (A2), towards Graz, between Sinabelkirchen and Gleisdorf Süd and on Semmering Schnellstraße (S6), towards St. Michael, between Gloggnitz and Maria Schutz.
From the Drasenhofen border crossing, up to 45 minutes of waiting were reported on the entry.
The ÖAMTC fears that there will be more on Austria’s streets every weekend. With the first weekend in August, the start of the holiday in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, a highlight of this year’s travel will be reached.
