Shooting the eleventh film in the successful ORF/ZDF crime series with Michael Fitz, Fanny Krausz and Erwin Steinhauer
Vienna (OTS) – At their anniversary event at the beginning of the year, “Sweet Gift” was on the ORF 2 program for Michael Fitz, Fanny Krausz, Erwin Steinhauer and up to 858,000 viewers with a market share of 28 percent. While filming the eleventh film in the popular ORF/ZDF crime series “The Dead of Salzburg,” a “murder in a prime location” has led the trio into the middle of the real estate scene and into a web of corruption since Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Was the death of a real estate agent the result of an unresolved loss and a desire for revenge that had been raging for years? Or did the initially highly motivated and enthusiastic young woman dig her own grave when she changed her attitude towards the industry and secretly turned against her employer, a tycoon at the top of the real estate hierarchy? Nikolaus Barton, Helmut Bohatsch, Paula Siebert, Sebastian Edtbauer, Michael Schönborn and Susanne Czepl-Zrost, among others, appear in front of the camera in other roles in the film, which was once again directed by Erhard Riedlsperger based on a script by Maria Hinterkoerner. Judith Altenberger, Christopher Schärf, Martina Spitzer, Michael A. Grimm, Laura Euler-Rolle, Sonja Romei, Cosima Lehninger, Erol Nowak, Simon Dietersdorfer, Gerhard Greiner and Jasmin Weissmann are expected to appear on ORF 2 in 2025. The filming, which will take the team to the Franciscan Church, Café Bazar and St. Peter’s Cemetery, among other places, is scheduled to last until the beginning of May.

The real estate agent Noelle Imlauer (Laura Euler-Rolle) is found dead. She worked for the Salzburg real estate tycoon Francis Zeferer (Christopher Schärf). The evening before, both of them could be found at the regulars’ table in Café Bazar. This also led to a surprising encounter with Noelle’s former best school friend Vanessa Pöttler (Judith Altenberger). The two of them haven’t seen each other since graduating from high school five years ago. Her graduation ceremony was overshadowed by the tragic death of Vanessa’s father, which she had to witness. The construction manager died on a Zeferer construction site. Vanessa never got over that because she doesn’t believe it was an accident. Especially because she thinks she saw someone else on the scaffolding pushing her father down. Vanessa then vowed to take revenge. The investigators delve deep into the Salzburg real estate industry. The former President of the State Parliament (Susanne Czepl-Zrost), who is now in prison, gives the Salzburg Criminal Police investigators Irene Russmeyer (Fanny Krausz) and Hofrat Alfons Seywald (Erwin Steinhauer) as well as Chief Inspector Hubert Mur (Michael Fitz) a crucial tip. The investigators uncover a network of corruption.
