The social report closely follows the everyday lives of people in Blockmacherring, the social hotspot of the Hanseatic city. There are a few reunions in the new episodes: after more than a year, the sick Manja can get out of bed again and appear in front of the cameras. Nicole is also back and visiting her family. Carsten’s birthday party also brings high-ranking visitors from the Mannheim Benz barracks. The new episodes of the social report “Hartz and cordial – day after day Rostock” are once again dedicated to the Blockmacherring in the Groß Klein district. Since 2017, RTLZWEI has been following the everyday lives of various people there, all of whom are struggling with similar difficulties: unemployment, fewer educational opportunities and often a life on the poverty line.
The new episodes include, among other things, a reunion with old acquaintances: Manja is suffering from multiple sclerosis and was unable to leave her bed for over a year. Now she is back in front of the camera for the first time. Nicole is also back, visiting her family in the Hanseatic city. Damian makes his way from Hanover to Rostock. He would like to rebuild his livelihood in his old homeland. Will his dream come true?
Blockmacherring veteran Regina is plagued by existential fears in the new episodes. An unexpected rent increase could now cost the pensioner her apartment. Can she cope with the new financial challenge or does she have to leave her apartment? Carsten, on the other hand, is planning a big birthday party and invites visitors from “Hartz and Warm – Day after Day Benz Barracks”.
Maik and Jasmin’s nerves are on edge. The youth welfare office is considering sending the family to a mother-child home outside of Rostock. But husband Maik doesn’t want to move out of the apartment. Will the family be torn apart?
