People with disabilities and their relatives benefit from a noticeable simplification when applying for the disability pass and the parking permit in accordance with Section 29b of the Road Traffic Regulations. Applicants: In the future, the inside will no longer have to include its own photo.
“Around 70,000 applicants: Inside, the change in the law is affected. For them, the new regulation means a noticeable relief: less paperwork, less questions, faster processing. Automatic photo call from existing registers
The Ministry of Social Affairs can now access photographs from the databases, namely the passport register, the driver’s license register, the e-ID system and the central foreign register, due to a change from the Federal Disability Act (BBG). If there is a current photo there, it will be used automatically for the application. This eliminates the effort necessary to provide or submit a suitable photo.
Data protection remains guaranteed
The photographs are processed with strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Ministry of Social Affairs is responsible for data protection law and only uses secure interfaces and area -specific passenger license plates (BPK) from the area of ”Society and Social Affairs”, “Transport and Technology” or “Personal identity and civil rights (person)” in order to transfer the data safely.
