As a inner-city recreation room, but also as a popular event location, the resse park has a new, modern and barrier-free toilet facility-a profit for the Viennese, Viennese visitors and the district.
The new facility comprises a total of three cabins and two pissoirs, and their own staff is in use. Outside of childcare times, the use of the toilet is free of charge, in the supervised period, 50 cents must be paid exclusively for the use of the cabins.
The outer facade is greened and in the immediate vicinity there will soon be a control system to quickly find the toilet system.
“Quality of life in Vienna also means being outdoors-just like here under the cooling trees in the Resselpark. It is all the more important that the necessary infrastructure is also available-this also includes toilet facilities,” says the responsible city council Jürgen Czernohorszky. “It was therefore particularly important to me that a modern barrier-free toilet facility is created here. I am particularly pleased that the outer facade is greened.”
“The Resselpark is an important meeting point for many people – whether for sports, relaxing or at events. The new toilet facility will make your stay much more pleasant here. This project is a complete success for the district!” Said district leader Lea Halbwidl.
For the construction of new toilet facilities
The new buildings from 2015 will all be built in a modular design, at least include a barrier -free module and a standard module in stainless steel construction and have an additional outer washbasin made of stainless steel.
The supervised public needs are occupied with staff of the commissioned cleaning company during the childcare periods. The lounge of the care staff are equipped with a first aid case, defibrillator and the generally known emergency numbers.
The public needs in Vienna is financed through the decentralized budget of the city of Vienna, the construction, maintenance, cleaning and maintenance is financed from the district budget.
