New documentary “The Talented Mr. Wolf – From Tool Maker to Networker” on December 6th at 9:05 p.m. on ORF 1

Vienna (OTS) Siegfried Wolf, 66, has been a successful manager in the automotive industry for decades. The Styrian experienced his rise in the 1990s when Frank Stronach brought him to Magna. The company is growing and 40,000 new jobs are being created. Wolf’s career takes off and he makes important contacts in politics. The German weekly newspaper “Die Zeit” describes Wolf as one of the “best-connected managers in the auto industry.”

Siegfried Wolf builds up an extensive network that extends from Ballhausplatz to the Kremlin. In addition to a special close relationship with Vladimir Putin, Wolf has close ties to the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, for whom he left Magna in 2010 to help rebuild the Russian auto industry. And in Austria too, the manager has been on a first-name basis with those in power for decades. But in recent years his name has also appeared in court documents: the economic and corruption prosecutor’s office is investigating bribery and Wolf has been accused of money laundering in connection with the Eurofighter scandal. In both cases the presumption of innocence applies. What are the allegations and what impact could they have on Siegfried Wolf’s future career?

The HolyScreen Media documentary by Simon Schennach and Magdalena Jöchler on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023 at 9:05 p.m. on ORF 1 will shed light on how Siegfried Wolf rose from a Styrian farm boy to one of the most powerful and richest managers in the country Ask whether the current investigation could cause distress for the manager.
