New broadcast format: “Startup – The Radio Kärnten Musikchance”

ORF-Kärnten offers local musicians a platform for new songs

Vienna (OTS) – “Startup – The Radio Kärnten Musikchance” offers local musicians a platform for their new songs. Once a month, four artists will be presented on Thursday evenings (8:04 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.), followed by voting on social media. The track with the most likes will then be presented on Monday in “Guten Morgen Kärnten” and played more frequently on the Radio Kärnten music program.

The program is presented by ORF music editor Rudi Omann and gives young artists the chance to present their music on a large “stage”. At the same time, it offers established musicians the opportunity to present new songs to a wide audience.

In the first broadcast, Simon Stadler, Maschid, Die 4 Lavanttaler and the Elchos put their titles into the race.

Radio Kärnten listeners can actively help shape the music program by voting for their favorite song from the show via Facebook. Voting runs from Thursday 9 p.m. to Monday 7 a.m. The song with the most likes on the ORF Kärnten Facebook page will then be presented on Monday in “Guten Morgen Kärnten” and played more frequently on the Radio Kärnten music program.

The show “Startup – Die Radio Kärnten Musikchance” will cover a wide range of music genres, from pop and rock to hip-hop, electronic music and hits. Each show features an exciting line-up of homegrown talent looking to share their unique sounds.

The 2024 broadcast dates of “Startup – Die Radio Kärnten Musikchance” (Thursday, 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.): May 23rd, June 20th, July 18th, August 22nd, September 19th, October 24th, November 21st and December 12th.
