“In this bathing season alone, incidents of violence, sexual harassment and threats to security personnel in Vienna’s outdoor pools-most recently the case of a 14-year-old Syrian who threatened with the stabbing in a municipal bathroom security staff. Despite these escalations, the SPÖ has admitted to setting real protective measures-and thus endangers families and children,” says Vienna’s FPÖ chief city council Dominik Nepp.
The FPÖ Vienna demands:
Visible police presence in all large bathrooms.
· Professional security personnel on weekends and during the holiday season.
· Emergency columns and video surveillance at all neuralgic points.
· Haus bans and deportations for foreign violent offenders – without exception.
“The SPÖ must no longer watch how Viennese bathrooms are deteriorating. Families have a right to security – on the edge of the pool as well as on the street,” emphasizes Nepp.
The FPÖ announces a written request to the responsible SPÖ city council in order to finally create full transparency about the security situation and the failure to create measures in the urban baths.
