Vienna (OTS) At today’s NEOS state members’ meeting, the incumbent state spokesman Niko Swatek was confirmed as the pink boss in Styria with 85 percent of the votes and was elected as the top candidate for the state elections in the fall. “I warmly congratulate Niko Swatek on this great result. As an experienced politician and acting state spokesman, Swatek has been committed to the needs of Styrians every day for years. I am convinced that he will continue on this constructive path as the top candidate for the coming state elections and that many people will be enthusiastic about our ideas and suggestions,” says NEOS General Secretary Douglas Hoyos.

“One thing is clear: a policy that takes action, exudes new energy and puts the Styrian economy back on the fast track will only be possible with NEOS. With his focus on reliable health care, combating corruption, the best children’s education and greater compatibility of family and work, Niko Swatek also stands for exactly those issues that are currently particularly concerning Styrians and where something urgently needs to be done further,” continued Hoyos. “With Swatek at the helm, we are ready like never before to actively shape Styria and take responsibility.”

She is followed by the Pölstal state parliament member Robert Reif in third place, the Graz doctor Lukas Hosemann in fourth place and Sebastian Wintschnig, local councilor from Bruck an der Mur, in fifth place on the list.
