Barcelona, Spain, March 1, 2024 (ots/PRNewswire) – During MWC 2024, Huawei showcased its next-generation smart city solutions at a roundtable entitled “Building City Intelligent Twins to Accelerate City Intelligence” with industry experts from governments in Asia Pacific, Latin America, Africa and China met to discuss current smart city topics, to facilitate the digitalization of administration and to promote the intelligence of cities.
Against the backdrop of the development of smart cities, the increasing complexity of city management requires new architectures and technologies to advance the digitalization of cities. “City Intelligent Twins” is a future-oriented next-generation technical architecture for the digital city. Based on technologies such as IoT sensing, high-speed connections, cloud computing, big data and AI base models, this architecture helps build an integrated intelligent system with a cloud network -Edge device synergy, in integrating cross-domain data for city management, ensuring continuous and smooth operation and self-optimization of the city, and ultimately transforming it into a smart city.

Based on the City Intelligent Twins architecture, Huawei is working with global partners to build new digital infrastructures that enable efficient city management and expand city intelligence. In practice, Huawei improved the cooperation efficiency of city administrative departments by 40% and the efficiency of case management by 30%.
During the conference, Huawei presented pioneering solutions such as Smart City IOC, government services and urban base models to improve administrative processes. The IOC integrates the functions related to city perception, operations management, collaborative leadership and decision analysis and is the center of urban operations management. The government services solution leverages AI assistant to enable positive citizen experiences and intelligent management of government services. The basic urban models are applied to a city’s operations, administration, management and services to improve quality, increase efficiency and thus create the conditions for a smart city.
