During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, Huawei gave a lecture on the global healthcare industry with the topic Digital intelligence promotes inclusive health care away. Experts shared their latest strategies and practices for digital transformation and the development of AI applications.
Deep AI convergence for expanded intelligent health solutions
In his opening speech, Dr. Peter Zhou, Vice President of Huawei and President of the Data storage product line, that Huawei has developed innovative products such as the multimodal converged data lake and DCS AI on the basis of the strategy to raise the AI skills in healthcare to a new level.
Wind Li, Vice President of Huawei and Managing Director of the Global Business Unit of Public Sector, said that Huawei has supported more than 5,600 health facilities in more than 110 countries and continues to consolidate the basis for digital and intelligent transformation, accelerate scenario innovation and AI convergence in order to support the matter of global health care.
Hong-ENG KOH, head of the Global Business Unit of Huawei sector, kept a fundamental speech and discussed the enormous potential of AI in healthcare. He mentioned that they significantly improve the accuracy and efficiency of diagnoses, reduce the workload of doctors and offer patients more individual treatment options.
Cooperation in the ecosystem accelerates data in healthcare
Luis Santiago Sánchez Fernández, technical director of the Andalusian health service (SAS), presented the centralized KIS/EMR system Diraya, which enables almost 9 million inhabitants to have a fair and national access to health care. He also presented the Andalusian strategies for digital health 2030 (ESDA) and the digital program of the SAS for the next 5 years. In cooperation with Huawei, SAS strives for intelligent, humanized, efficient and safe health services.
Tsvetomir Nikolov, IT director of the municipal clinic Acibadem in Bulgaria, reported on his experience with digital transformation. He believed that the digital technology for providing comprehensive services is essential for patients. Acibadem works with Huawei to build an intelligent hospital campus and active-active data centers that improve the data access performance for KIS/PACS/EMR services by ten times.
Feng Feng, sales and business development manager at KFBIO Europe, mentioned that thanks to deep learning algorithms, KI can effectively support doctors in creating pathological diagnoses. Kfbio and Huawei have jointly developed a AI -based digital pathology solution that contributes to improving diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.
For the future, Huawei plans to increase its investments in technical innovations, to integrate AI in scenario solutions, to promote the intelligence of healthcare and to support general access to healthcare.
