On the first weekend of Advent, the Schallaburg was the venue for the Lower Austrian Games Festival, which attracted more than 2,000 visitors. Hundreds of games could be tried out, popular classics as well as brand new classic games. Regional Family Councilor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister was also there on Sunday and was pleased with the great response: “I am very pleased by the considerable influx of families and shows that we are on the right track with our events. Here families could play, guess, tinker, build, puzzle and much more to their heart’s content – and all while having a lot of fun. And that’s exactly what the Lower Austria Games Festival is all about, namely spending family time together and saving your wallet. NÖ Familienland GmbH makes this possible through its services and events for families.”
The supporting program also delighted young and old: the children had a lot of fun at the puppet theater “Dragon Funki and the Magical Christmas Present”. Drumming workshops and game tournaments meant there was never a dull moment. The new escape room was also very popular, where families could solve puzzles and tasks and receive a surprise as a reward at the end. The photo box at the NÖ Familienland GmbH information stand provided harmonious souvenir images. As part of a competition, participants were able to win two ticket packages for families, redeemable for the entire WESTbahn route network. The NÖ Games Festival was organized by NÖ Familienland GmbH in cooperation with Schallaburg.
